I had a vacuum that cost 3 times what I paid for this, and it wouldn't suck (or maybe I should say for that one "it sucks" -- I don't understand the new English). After searching the reviews and prices, I selected this model. It sucks fantastically. If I was in the UK, I'd say "it's a ghastly sucker," or maybe "it's a bloody sucker."
