Buying Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum

I purchased this vacuum to use on my wood floors. The review claims it is excellent on hard surfaces. This machine is terrible on wood surfaces. It shoots the dirt out the back of the machine which actuallys stings your legs as you walk behind the machine.
