I bought this on the basis of the strong reviews when I was looking to replace my old bagless vacuum (never buy a bagless vacuum, no matter how nice they look, they are a pain to empty). All the positive reviews are accurate. To repeat the pun that is much used in the reviews of this product: this thing sucks. It has no problem with whatever is on the floor -- including dog hair from a dog that makes vacuuming a daily requirement when he is shedding. I have had this product for about a year with no durability problems.
