Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum Buy Now

This vacuum is a piece of garbage. I would say that it arrived broken, but that is not really accurate. On their own, all the pieces are fine. No specific piece was broken. The pieces just do not fit together. Specifically the bag area cover. In order for the device to function it needs to be an air-tight seal. But the piece is too small. And not just slightly off, it is no where close, almost as if it were designed for a different unit.

Obviously hoover was aware that the piece did not fit, and just did not care. At first I was confused why the part was taped in place. Then when I removed the tape and the who thing fell apart I understood.

Yes, duct tape is great. In a few years when the thing starts falling apart, I may choose to use duct tape to hold it together. But if your products require duct tape to keep it from falling apart before they leave the factory floor, you are in desperate need of a new QA department. I hope who ever at Hoover thought it would be ok to let a bunch of units(I now see that I am not the first to report this problem) out the door held together with tape looses their job over this.

I ordered a replacement which I fully expect to be no better, but perhaps if I keep making amazon waste $30+ on shipping such a big box back and forth across the country, they will eventually catch on and use their weight to force Hoover to invest in a new QA department.Get more detail about Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum.
