Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum Immediately

I purchased this vacuum cleaner to replace a Hoover Sprint Vacuum I used for 6 years. The Tempo Widepath does a poor job of picking up any dirt particles. I actually did a test between the Hoover Sprint and the Hoover Tempo Widepath. The Sprint picks up everything but the Tempo Widepath leaves the dirt on the carpet.
