3 dogs and a cat produce fur balls the size of tumble weeds. This thing will suck up area rugs if the setting is to low. Its not a bare floor machine but I use the attachments for the big stuff and then go over on the floor setting. I had Hoover bagless and they would stink after a couple of months. Had to take them outside and a part to clean. I put the main filter in a bag and knocked it around to get the dirt loose. Used the shop vac to clean it after that. That worked once and then I had to buy another filter for 30.00. No more this is the pet fur machine and cheap.
