I never thought I'd write a love letter to a vacuum, but this is it...I have two dogs and old, worn carpet. This vacuum picked up the dog hair and actually made my carpet look better. It's easy to assemble, easy to operate and light enough to do stairs. The only downsides are a too short cord (I fixed this by adding an extension cord) and a too short hose (I swapped it out with a longer hose from an old non-woking vacuum).
