Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum Right now

I purchased this product after our $150 Eureka Boss Capture (8803?) started to make a high-pitched noise in the motor after about a year of use. I also got tired of having to constantly clean and/or wash the Eureka's four filters while getting dust all over the place.

After a good experience with an older Hoover upright (that we used for over 10 years), I decided to purchase another Hoover, the U5140-900 Tempo, for half the cost of the Eureka. So far, that has been a good decision.

The Tempo is light and easy to maneuver, though it doesn't like to be pull backward due to the strong agitator biting into the carpet. The cord is not as long as the Eureka, so we have to change outlets sooner when going from room to room.

* Light weight

Dislikes:
* The latch on the bag compartment cover could be better
* The hose doesn't stretch very far
