Save Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum

Have had one of these for just about a year now; it was bought out of necessity to replace a 20+ year old Hoover Elite that finally died. I wanted a bagged vac (bagless are gross when it comes time to empty them, methinks; got enough of that with my shop vac) and decided I didn't want to spend a lot. Before I bought it I researched it on the net, and found some considered it the best upright vac under $100 (I think that was also in a magazine test too, but I'm not sure) and that people were even using them commercially. IMHO the comments were right on spot. I've been very satisfied with it: Cleaning power is really good on rugs/carpets and with the attachments, tho the hose and extension tubes could be a bit longer, and it does seem a bit louder than my old Hoover. I find the length of the power cord adequate. Had to replace the belt once but that was my fault after letting it pick up the edge of a furniture throw and not turning it off quickly enough. Haven't had to replace it since. Changing bags is a snap; I like this much better than the old style soft/fabric outer bag. Weight isn't a problem. I've recommended it to a couple of friends and they're very satisfied too. I give it 5 stars for both the price point and functionality combined. I also like the idea that it's not made in China/Asia, etc. Get more detail about Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum.
