Purchase Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum

I bought this vacuum based on reviews by Consumer Reports and those found on Amazon. As others have mentioned, it's a great vacuum, especially for the price. Very powerful suction and great on carpets. Be careful on throw rugs, though. It also seems to be a little self propelled - great for going forward but not so great for pulling back. My main complaint is how noisy the vacuum is. When I first turned it on, I didn't think it was so bad, but by the time I was finished with my whole house, I realized I couldn't live with it long term. I ended up returning the vacuum.
