Purchase Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum

Admittedly, being a bachelor, I didn't use this vacuum very much. So, one would've expected it to last quite a bit longer than it did. Instead, it died in a smoke-filled glory, at 2 years young.

One day I was vacuuming, and smelled something burning. I quickly turned it off, and behold there was smoke coming from the motor compartment. I took it apart; belt was fine, bag wasn't full, and I couldn't find the problem. Turning it on only produced more smoke.

I'm compelled to chalk this up as a "lemon", because of such amazing reviews this product received, and Consumer Reports' rating, which is the reason I bought this vacuum cleaner. At such a low price, it's probably not worth getting repaired. I'm inclined to think it's still a good value, as it has apparently worked well for many others, and indeed worked very well for me, when I did get around to using it. I wouldn't blame anyone for giving it a shot, but I'm done with this particular model.Get more detail about Hoover U5140-900 Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright Vacuum.
