Bought this in July 2008 and the agitator is already broken. I have no pets and my house is all tile except for two area rugs so there's no way it was overworked. What I really didn't like was the hose, the suction was great, but it made the hose less flexible and harder to extend fully when using attachments making the unit very cumbersome to use.
